Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026. We keep this short and human — no walls of text designed to be unread.
1. The short version
GoVPN does not log, track, or sell your browsing activity. The only data we collect is the minimum required to operate the service (account state, anonymous device tokens for push notifications, and aggregate connection counts). We never know which websites you visit, what you download, or who you communicate with.
2. What we collect
- Anonymous account ID — used to sync your settings between sessions. Not tied to your name, email, or phone number unless you opt in.
- Subscription state — whether you have an active Premium plan, returned by the App Store or Google Play.
- Crash and diagnostic data — only if you opt in. Helps us fix bugs faster.
- Aggregate connection metrics — total connections per server location. Never linked to individual users.
3. What we never collect
- Browsing history, DNS queries, or traffic destinations.
- Originating IP addresses bound to identifiable accounts.
- Bandwidth usage attributed to specific users.
- Files downloaded, sites visited, or apps used through the VPN.
4. Third parties
We use a small number of carefully chosen vendors: Firebase (anonymous push notifications), RevenueCat (subscription receipts), and Google AdMob (ads in the free tier only). None of them receive browsing activity or VPN tunnel data.
5. Your rights
You can request deletion of any account data we hold by emailing sds. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other major regional regulations.
6. Changes to this policy
We'll notify users in-app at least 14 days before any material change to this policy takes effect.
